{"id":35928,"date":"2021-11-02T09:13:28","date_gmt":"2021-11-02T05:43:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zardis.net\/news\/?p=35928"},"modified":"2021-11-02T09:13:28","modified_gmt":"2021-11-02T05:43:28","slug":"%e2%80%9cthe-power-of-six%e2%80%9d-bestowed-upon-iranian-bookstores%c2%a0","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zardis.net\/news\/en\/35928\/%e2%80%9cthe-power-of-six%e2%80%9d-bestowed-upon-iranian-bookstores%c2%a0\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cThe Power of Six\u201d bestowed upon Iranian bookstores\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p class=\"summary\">TEHRAN \u2013 A Persian translation of Pittacus Lore\u2019s young adult science fiction novel \u201cThe Power of Six\u201d has come to the Iranian bookstores.<\/p>\n<p>The second book in the young adult science fiction series \u201cThe Lorien Legacies\u201d has been translated by Payman Esmaeilian.<\/p>\n<p>Ofoq is the publisher of the book, which is the sequel to \u201cI Am Number Four\u201d, and was released August 23, 2011 by HarperCollins Publishers.<\/p>\n<p>The book is told by various members of the Garde: Number Four\/John, who is on the run with Sam, Six, and Bernie Kosar; and Number Seven\/Marina, who is hiding at a convent in Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Marina is Number Seven and her Cepan has chosen to stay in Santa Teresa, where they have lived in the town orphanage for over 7 years. Adelina, Marina\u2019s Cepan, has stopped believing that it is possible for them to defeat the Mogadorians and so refuses to help Marina learn about her developing \u201cLegacies,\u201d advising her instead to concentrate on \u201cnot dying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reception for \u201cThe Power of Six\u201d has been mixed to positive, with the School Library Journal writing that although the book has \u201ca lack of character development, pedestrian dialogue, and uneven continuity\u2026 the nonstop action and violence-packed fight sequences will keep fans of the first novel happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this summer, Ofoq released a Persian rendition of \u201cI Am Number Four\u201d from the Lorien Legacies series.
