{"id":47639,"date":"2022-04-27T14:58:42","date_gmt":"2022-04-27T10:28:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zardis.net\/news\/?p=47639"},"modified":"2022-04-27T14:58:42","modified_gmt":"2022-04-27T10:28:42","slug":"us-seeks-reaching-deal-as-long-as-it-remains-in-itsinterest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zardis.net\/news\/en\/47639\/us-seeks-reaching-deal-as-long-as-it-remains-in-itsinterest\/","title":{"rendered":"US seeks reaching deal as long as it remains in itsinterest"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"item-summary\">\n<p class=\"summary introtext\">TEHRAN, Apr. 27 (MNA) \u2013 &#8220;We are going to pursue a mutual return to compliance with the JCPOA as long as it remains in our national interest to do so,&#8221; US State Department spokesman Ned Price said in his recent press conference.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"item-body\">\n<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p>Answering a question on the possibility of being a scheduled meeting in Vienna, he said that there is no\u00a0travel to Vienna to preview and the US is\u00a0in close contact with the EU coordinator, who continues to convey messages back and forth.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0US will remain hopeful that an agreement can be reached, but it can be reached only if Iran would not raise\u00a0issues that are extraneous to the JCPOA, he claimed<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We are preparing equally for either world, a world in which we have a JCPOA and a world in which we are forced to seek other means to be faithful to the President\u2019s commitment,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The previous nuclear deal was signed by Iran, the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, the United States), Germany and the European Union in 2015.<\/p>\n<p>US President Donald Trump unilaterally withdrew from the agreement in 2018 and imposed new illegal\u00a0sanctions on Tehran.<\/p>\n<p>The eighth round of Vienna negotiations was launched in late December 2021 and resumed in early February after a short break.
