{"id":54159,"date":"2024-04-08T17:49:29","date_gmt":"2024-04-08T13:19:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zardis.net\/news\/?p=54159"},"modified":"2024-04-08T17:49:29","modified_gmt":"2024-04-08T13:19:29","slug":"israeli-forces-deliberately-target-palestinian-women-in-gaza","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zardis.net\/news\/en\/54159\/israeli-forces-deliberately-target-palestinian-women-in-gaza\/","title":{"rendered":"Israeli forces deliberately target Palestinian women in Gaza"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>The comment was made in a Sunday press statement by the Ramallah-based Palestinian government\u2019s Minister of Women&#8217;s Affairs Mona al-Khalili.<\/p>\n<p>She noted that 9,560 Palestinian women have been killed by the regime\u2019s forces since the beginning of the Israeli genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWomen in the Gaza Strip are suffering from the most dangerous and harsh conditions in decades, as a result of deteriorating health and living conditions, displacement, and lack of shelter, in addition to the lack of food and water,\u201d the minister said.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Khalili stated that there are approximately 15,000 pregnant women currently in the Gaza Strip, \u201c95 percent of whom do not eat sufficient amounts of food, which increases health risks to the mother and fetus.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added that there are about a million forcibly displaced women who face exacerbated risks in shelter centers, which lack basic necessities.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Khalili said approximately 37 mothers are killed every day in Gaza, leaving behind devastated families and displaced children.<\/p>\n<p>Israel waged its brutal war on besieged Gaza on October 7 after Hamas carried out an unprecedented operation against the occupying entity in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n<p>Israel has imposed a complete siege on the densely populated territory, cutting off fuel, electricity, food, and water to the more than two million Palestinians living there.<\/p>\n<p>AMK\/PressTV<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The comment was made in a Sunday press statement by the Ramallah-based Palestinian government\u2019s Minister of Women&#8217;s Affairs Mona al-Khalili.
