The speaker of the Iraqi parliament Mohammed al-Halbusi, who arrived in Tehran to meet with the high-ranking Iranian official on Wednesday morning, held a meeting with Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) secretary Admiral Ali Shamkhani in the afternoon.

Prior to meeting with Shmakhani, Al-Halbusi with his Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baghir Ghalibaf.

The Iraqi parliament speaker has also held meetings with President Ayatollah Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
