Despite the sanctions, Iran has turned into an exporter of radiopharmaceuticals at the international level, in addition to meeting domestic needs, Kamalvandi said on Friday.

On the political arena, attaining nuclear technology is also important, the official said, adding that as Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has said the nuclear industry enhances the country’s sovereignty.

That’s why enemies do not want to see the Islamic Republic obtain a home-grown nuclear industry, Kamalvandi added.
