In a statement on Monday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman expressed regret over the UAE’s insistence on misusing the presence of any diplomatic delegation in the country to make territorial claims against Iran, and condemned the repetition of the baseless and false claim about Iranian islands in the final statement of the Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit to the country.

Beghaei also said, “The Iranian islands of Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb are inseparable parts of Iran’s territory, and any territorial claim about them is clearly in contradiction to the principle of respect for the territorial integrity of other countries and good neighborliness.”
