Iran was too strong for Iraq as the Iranian gained a 94-68 victory in FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers.

The match was held in Lebanon on Thursday at FIBA’s decision.

The two teams will again meet in Beirut for their return match on Sunday.

The 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup qualification for the FIBA Asia-Oceania region, will begin in November 2025 and will conclude in March 2027.
